DOS Bags - Can I leave my recyclables in a grocery bag when I recycle them at the DOS?

NO!  Do not put plastic bags in the DOS Compactors. When plastic bags get mixed in with other recyclables, they’re difficult to sort out and often jam or damage machines.

The ONLY way to recycle plastic shopping bags is to return them to a participating store drop-off and NOT in your recycling bin.

Paper grocery bags can be recycled along with the paper/cardboard/newspaper (fibrous materials).
