Starting Friday, July 1, 2022, the Lenawee County Health Department will be offering COVID-19 Pfizer vaccinations for children ages six (6) months through four (4) years old. Pfizer vaccines for this age group are available by appointment only and a parent or guardian must be present for minors to receive a vaccine. Moderna and Pfizer-BioTech vaccines were recently authorized and recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). We encourage parents to speak to their child’s pediatrician if they have any questions about whether or not the COVID-19 vaccine is right for their child.
Vaccines for ages five (5) and up are available at our walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinic:
- Monday 8:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.
- Wednesday 8:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m., and 1:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
- Friday 8:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m.
Vaccines are provided at our office located in the Lenawee County Human Services Building at 1040 S. Winter Street, Adrian, Michigan. Additionally, many local pharmacies, doctor’s offices, and other locations are providing COVID-19 vaccines throughout Lenawee County. The Lenawee County Health Department follows the recommendations of the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHSS) and the CDC. We recommend all eligible individuals get vaccinated against COVID-19 to prevent serious symptoms that may lead to long-term health complications, hospitalization, or death.
