Village of Blissfield Withdraws from County Recycling Pilot

Solid Waste / Recycling DOS Posted on April 07, 2026

At the request of the Village of Blissfield, its participation in Lenawee County’s recycling pilot program has been discontinued. The recycling dumpster located in the village was removed on April 7, 2026.

Lenawee County is currently seeking another municipality to host the recycling dumpster. In the meantime, residents are encouraged to utilize the following recycling drop-off locations:

  • Lenawee County Recycling Drop-Off Site (DOS), 307 N. River Street, Adrian
  • 125 E. 2nd Street, Onsted
  • 100 block of Mechanic Street in Hudson (near the trail)

“We appreciate the community’s efforts to participate in the recycling pilot program and will continue working to provide recycling opportunities as partnerships and funding allow, particularly as we move through the County’s new materials management planning process,” said Julie Maurer, Materials Management Coordinator.

If recycling bins are full, residents are asked to return at a later time. Please do not leave materials on the ground, as this can create community blight, contaminate recyclable materials, and place additional strain on local resources.
