The Lenawee Department on Aging salutes volunteers!
PEOPLE are the best asset Lenawee County has. It is through volunteers that the Department on Aging is able to deliver over seven hundred meals Monday through Friday and transport as many as 80 older adults to medical appointments each week.
As director of the Department on Aging, I want to say thank you to the volunteers that make a difference every day. We are proud to be partnering with churches and individuals across the county.
At this time we find we have a real need for additional volunteers for these two vital programs. Meal drivers in all parts of the county are appreciated, but in particular Hudson, Adrian and Tecumseh.
Individuals in the Addison, Hudson and Morenci area are needed to help transport older adults to medical appointments.
