[ARCHIVED] Salute To Service Weekend

Salute to Service Weekend

Lenawee County Veterans Affairs is honored to share a special opportunity for our local veterans, service members, and their families to be recognized and celebrated during the 2026 Salute to Service Weekend at USA Hockey Arena.

On behalf of Team USA, USA Hockey, and Folds of Honor Motor City, you are invited to join this long-standing tradition of appreciation as part of the celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary.

Now in its 15th year, Salute to Service Weekend has become one of Michigan’s largest veteran appreciation events. Each year, thousands gather not just for hockey but to honor those who have worn the uniform and those who continue to serve our communities. This year’s event will also recognize the American Legion Department of Michigan for its ongoing commitment to veterans across the state.

You may choose either:
Friday, March 20, 2026
Saturday, March 21, 2026

The schedule is the same for both evenings.

Doors open at 5:00 p.m., offering time to explore a large veteran resource fair, connect with organizations, enjoy hospitality and food vouchers, and participate in family-friendly activities. At 7:00 p.m., Team USA takes the ice for an exciting matchup against Waterloo, followed by continued activities throughout the evening. The event typically concludes around 9:15 p.m.

Admission is always free and includes:

  • Free parking
  • A food voucher and hospitality access
  • A large veteran resource fair
  • Free children’s activities
  • Raffles and special guests
  • Patriotic tributes
  • A Team USA hockey game experience

All current service members, veterans from all eras, first responders, law enforcement, and their families are welcome.

Free admission is available to the first 1,500 service members, veterans, and family members each night who RSVP by March 10. Once tickets are reserved, the USA Hockey Arena Box Office will confirm your request. USA Hockey Arena is located at 14900 Beck Road in Plymouth, Michigan.
