The holiday season can be a time of joy, connection, and celebration—but for caregivers, it can also bring unique challenges. Balancing caregiving responsibilities with holiday expectations can leave many feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.
To help caregivers navigate this busy season, the Lenawee Department on Aging is hosting a special caregiver support group titled “Surviving the Holidays as a Caregiver.” The meeting will be facilitated by Kathy Johnston Betzoldt, M.A., L.P.C., who will provide guidance, tools, and strategies to help caregivers find balance and embrace moments of peace during the holidays.
The group will meet on Monday, December 2nd, at 2 PM at Daybreak Adult Day Services, 327 Erie Street, Adrian, MI.
Why Attend?
This support group is designed to:
- Offer practical tips for managing holiday stress.
- Provide emotional support in a welcoming environment.
- Connect caregivers with others who share similar experiences.
Caregivers often prioritize the needs of others while neglecting their own well-being. This session will offer a chance to pause, reflect, and develop a plan for a more manageable and meaningful holiday season.
Respite Care is Available
To make attendance easier for caregivers, free respite care will be available for your loved one during the meeting. Reservations are required, so please call 517-266-2588 in advance to arrange care.
Don’t let the holidays overwhelm you—join this supportive group to discover new ways to thrive as a caregiver this season.
