Termination Criteria

The following will constitute termination from the Sobriety Court Program: 

    Violent crime conviction – This includes crimes that involve great bodily harm, sexual assault, or death. 

    Drunk driving conviction

    Continued non-compliant behavior – This includes ongoing relapse, violations, absconding, and failure to engage in treatment. 

    Moving out of Lenawee County – Participant may be transferred to another Sobriety DWI program, this is on a case-by-case basis. 

It is ultimately up to the program Judge to terminate from the Sobriety Court program. The defendant will be removed from the program on record at a removal hearing if the Judge approves a termination.
