The Register of Deeds office is responsible for receiving, recording and digital storage of all legal documents affecting Real Estate within Lenawee County. Including, but not limited to, Deeds, Land Contracts, Mortgages, Liens, Surveys and Land Corners.
Documents are checked for Michigan recording requirements then recorded. After recording, original documents are returned to the person/company that presented them for recording by U.S. Postal Service, unless otherwise instructed
