Our Vital Records Dept. is now open to the public.  We are temporarily located in the Annex Building at 113 W. Front Street, Adrian, MI, due to the old courthouse renovation.

The County Clerk's Office oversees all records for births, deaths, marriages, assumed names, Circuit Court records, election information, notaries and concealed pistol license. In addition they take care of the County's payroll.

Old Courthouse-

Services offered in the Old Courthouse include:
  • Assumed Names (DBA)
  • Certified copies of Birth, Death, and Marriage Certificates- Certified copies can be obtained by mail, in-person or online at www.VitalChek.com
  • Concealed Pistol Licenses- New Applicants must apply in person.  CPL Renewals can be obtained online, if you have received a letter from our office with your PIN number, at www.michigan.gov/cplrenewal 
  • Notaries- Notary Applicants can find and print an application at www.michigan/gov/sos. Applicants do have to apply in-person at our office.
  • Payroll 
  • Qualified Voter File (QVF)

Both offices are open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m., and close for lunch between Noon and 1 p.m.
