To enhance the quality of life in Lenawee County by providing recreational, social and cultural opportunities for the public; and leading in the preservation, conservation, restoration and promotion of the natural, scenic, and historical resources in Lenawee County.
The Lenawee Parks & Recreation Commission has oversight over County-owned parks and is responsible for development of the Parks and Recreation plan and policy recommendations. The Commission consists of five members representing the County Board of Commissioners and the general public.
The PROPOSED 2020-2024 Plan is now open for public review.
A public comment session will be held during the Parks Commission meeting set for Monday, November 18, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the Committee Room on the top floor of the Old County Courthouse located at 301 North Main Street, Adrian, MI 49221.
The Board of Commissioners is expected to set a Public Hearing on adoption of the 2020-2024 Parks and Recreation Plan at 1:35 pm on Wednesday, December 11, 2019.
