DIVE TEAM
2008 ANNUAL REPORT

        This season we found ourselves in a transitional time as have many teams throughout the state.  In 2008 the Dive Team has undergone some restructuring and repositioning of its current team members in order to stay up-to-date with the latest training techniques.  The Lenawee County Sheriff's Office Dive Team has had the opportunity to serve Lenawee County with highly trained and motivated personnel who are outfitted with some of the best dive equipment purchased.  The recovery of a victim in the water is mandated as the Sheriff's responsibility in the the State of Michigan.  This responsibility is taken very seriously by the Sheriff of Lenawee County, the Dive Team, and all members of the Sheriff's Office.

        The divers are trained in Dive Rescue I and Underwater Crime Scene Investigation and continue to train with the fire departments that have lakes within their jurisdiction.  With the continuous training and the support of the Sheriff, Lenawee County can be proud as it host one of the best teams in the State of Michigan.
