Child Care Network
Child Care Network is a non-profit agency, working to ensure that all families have access to safe, affordable, quality care for their children.  We do this by providing referrals to licensed child care providers, and information on finding a quality provider.  This service is offered for free to any family who needs child care for their children!  We also offer classes for child care providers, and scholarship assistance (based on current funding).  Child Care Network is a Regional 4C office and serves 5 counties: Lenawee, Washtenaw, Hillsdale, Monroe, and Jackson.  Hours for most offices are Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm.

Family Service & Children's Aid
Our Adrian office provides unbiased assessment and referral for those in need of substance abuse treatment who meet financially eligibility.  We also provide outpatient counseling to families, children and adults.  We accept Medicaid and most insurance. Our hours of operation are 8:00 to 5:00 Monday - Thursday and 8:00 - 4:00PM on Friday.  We have evening hours by appointment. 

Our mission: To strengthen the emotional health & functioning of children, adults, and families through counseling, education, adoption, advocacy, & program development.


Goodwill Industries of SE. Michigan
At Goodwill, with the generous donations we recieve to sell at our stores, we are able to provide job training and services to people with disabilities and other barries to work...leading to economic independence.  Last ear we served 825 people and over 200 at risk and adjudicated youth in Lenawee County.

  • We accept donations of computers and related computer item.  This is a free program and all computers are recycled.
  • Goodwill Secure Shredding Service can securely destroy your confidential documents from patient and client files to employee payrool, medical records and more.


Hospice of Lenawee
The mission of Hospice of Lenawee is to provide the best quality of life for those living with a life limiting illness through timely individualized physical, social, emotional, and spiritual support. Hospice of Lenawee is committed to providing bereavement services for Hospice and Lenawee County families and friends. Our Hospice services are provided at little or no cost to families and our Bereavement services are offered at no charge to the Lenawee community.

Lenawee's CHILD is an interactive learning experience between parent and child.  It serves all families living in Lenawee County by providing developmental and age-appropriate activities and tools that support learning success.  A trained Parent Educators offer personal home visits, playgroups, developmental screenings and parent workshops.  The program also connects parents with community resources.  And best of all the program is free.  Playgroup days and times verify in each district.

The mission of Lenawee Community Health Authroity is to provide positive outcomes through quality mental health services.

Lenawee Emergency and Affordable Housing Corporation (LEAHC)
Lenawee Emergency and Affordable Housing Corporation is a non-profit organization with a mission of advancing housing stability and affordable opportunities for low-income people, especially those in crisis or at risk.  LEAHC provides emergency and transitional housing, landlord and housing advocacy, life skills training and financial aid for those who are homeless or on the brink of homelessness.  Genereal business hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with closure for lunch from noon to 1 p.m.

Marriages That Work
Marriages That Work is a non-profit agency and was formed in 1996 to advocate and strengthen marriages and families through education. Marriages That Work has promoted marriage and families by teaching in communication and conflict resolution, skills for establishing healthy relationships and ways of building strong stepfamilies. Marriages That Work funds a relationship skills program for high school youth in Lenawee County as well.

Michigan Department of Civil Rights (MDCR)
MDCR is the state agency charged with enforcing the Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act and Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act.  The Department is the administrative arm of the Michigan Civil Rights Commission.  The Commission is a constitutionally empowered quasi-judicial body of eight members appointed by the Governor to four year staggered terms.  No more than four members may be from any one political party.

The Department investigates complaints in the areas of employment, housing, education public accommodations and public service.  In these areas, the Department investigates discrimination based on race, color, national origin, religion, gender, disability, age, height, weight, and marital status.  People believing they have been subjected to illegal discrimination should contact the Department at 1-800-482-3604 or by visiting our website.  The Department also offers training and outreach on a variety of topics including hate crime and cultural competency.
