LENAWEE COUNTY AIRPORT
MANAGERS REPORT
OCTOBER 2006

Jennifer with the IT dept. came out and showed me how to work within the airport's web page. Please take a look and upgrades will continue as time allows.

The survey company came out and did the ´park' and 3 points on the pole barn property. Buildings and Grounds have installed steel post with 1 post to be installed after the soybeans are harvested.

I attended the MDOT Transportation summit at the Lenawee County Road Commission. It was not something that I will need to attend in the future. It concerned the progress of the road work to date and what is scheduled for future years.

The Schadwalds' reported that the crop yield was good this year.

I have contacted the snack machine vendor that is with the county now and continue to assess the viability of installing a machine either here or at Wings of Lenawee.

On October 23rd, the state came and pulled the traffic counters out. We should have some numbers in a couple of months.

I had another meeting with the service organization about holding an event here at the airport. Insurance, water, and electricity were points that need to be investigated further.

The GMC P/U truck needed a repair and Fred and I negotiated with Clift Pontiac to cover 50% of the cost.

I spoke with Nick Dushane, a City of Adrian's Dept. of Public Works manager and Rob with the LCRC about truck specifications. The specs will be mailed to MDOT Aero this week.

Crack sealing through the MDOT 50/50 program was completed last Wednesday. Taxiway ´A' and the Ramp was scheduled and completed. Additional work will need to be performed in the saw-cuts on TWY ´A' as they are too wide to fill. Will contact Bob Lewis with the LCRC to get his opinion on the situation.

The signs have been ordered for the Unauthorized Vehicles and a Run-up area at a cost of $172.00.

All the tractors and implements have been prepped and put away for the winter. The snow plows have been brought up to the garage.

The MAP (Michigan Airports Program) meeting is scheduled for November 30, 2006 at MDOT-AERO.

Repairs to the Terminal roof have been completed. Nails were popping up.
