Way to Go!

Way2GoCrimeVictimsRights

Crime victim rights advocates in the Lenawee County Prosecutor’s Office coordinated donations of clothing, personal hygiene products and other items from local businesses, organizations and individuals to put together the kits. Those kits were presented Friday to the sexual assault nurse examiners, or SANE nurses, at ProMedica’s Bixby and Herrick hospitals in Adrian and Tecumseh.

The kits donated are “winter” kits with sweatpants and long-sleeve T-shirts. The Prosecutor’s Office will be collecting items for “summer” kits and anyone who would like to contribute may call the prosecutor’s office at 517-264-4640 and ask for Ms. Roller or Ms. Petty.

To learn more about the SANE program, contact Rachelle VanAken at the Bixby emergency department by calling 517-265-0930.
