Lenawee County offices and operations have been reopening over the summer and many offices are able to provide most of the services that residents expect and need.  There are, of course, exceptions.  There is limited access to the courts, the Health Department is providing personal health services by appointment, and the Department on Aging still has restrictions on in-person contact.  Basic health screening is required of all individuals seeking access to county offices and buildings.  If there are questions for a specific office, please call that office.

While current operations are not quite “normal”, there is routine business that must be performed as well as projects such as completion of the 800 MHz radio system and work on the Old Courthouse.  The process to develop and adopt a budget for 2021 is well underway and, with the current state of the economy, there are questions yet to be answered.  Funding is expected to be very tight but the goal will be to continue the same level of service as residents now enjoy.
