One Lenawee Whats Your Vision

One Lenawee is…a collaboration of concerned people dedicated to the Vision of making Lenawee County a Great Place to live, work, learn, worship, play, and invest.

We bring attention and action to important community issues.

Uniting and Connecting partners and committed people, we identify, support, and develop initiatives and projects that optimize community resources to The Vision.

From January through March 2017, MSU Extension facilitated civic forums across Lenawee County to gather input from residents to shape a countywide strategic plan. Forums took place in Blissfield, Cambridge, Hudson, Adrian, Tecumseh, and Morenci.  Almost 250 Lenawee County residents attended these forums and provided valuable input. Over 150 students attended a special forum for high school students, and an additional two forums gathered input specifically from college students, one each at Siena Heights University and Jackson College.

Everyone is WELCOME to participate in this process.  Check out each out each of the target areas and feel free to reach out to any of the contact people.

LENAWEE VISION – 2019 Objectives REV 7/19

Our Vision is to make Lenawee County a Great Place to live, work, learn, worship, play and invest.
We do that through a grass-roots Strategic Planning process that identifies community needs and wants, community resources, appropriate leadership, and potential collaborations.
Our purpose is to unit and connect community partners who will develop initiatives and projects that optimize community resources toward this vision.

  • Strategic Vision and Action Plan for Lenawee – publish and communicate; nine strands (focus groups) working on at least two short-term objectives (In June 2019, combined into SEVEN PRIORITY GROUPS)
  • Branding Lenawee – use new logo in all of our communications
  • Non-Motorized Transportation Plan – support the completion of the Kiwanis Trail to Tecumseh; install remaining signage
  • One Lenawee – Organization structure and succession plan - ???
