Since May 1, 2010, all Michigan residents and visitors have been protected from exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke in all restaurants, bars and businesses (including hotels and motels) thanks to the Dr. Ron Davis Smoke-Free Air Law.



Love Your Lungs Poster Contest 2017


The Greater Lenawee Tobacco Reduction Coalition is happy to announce the 9th annual "Love Your Lungs" poster contest. The grand prize winning poster will be made into a billboard in Lenawee County and the two runners-up posters will be printed as tray liners and used at Lenawee County McDonald's restaurants.  The deadline for student entry (grades 4-8) is 3/9/17 at 4:30pm.

Greater Lenawee Tobacco Reduction Coalition


The focus of the Tobacco Reduction Coalition is to encourage youth to lead a tobacco-free life - to increase and support Worksites and restaurants that are Smoke-Free - and to link adults with quit smoking resources. Watch our video (WMV) for more information.

Smoke-Free Worksite Regulation


On March 14, 2007 the Lenawee County Board of Commissioners passed a Smoke-Free Worksite Regulation for Lenawee County businesses and indoor public places.

This regulation was effective on June 12, 2007.

The Regulation requires that all businesses in Lenawee County, with 2 or more employees, implement a Smoke-Free Worksite Policy. This Regulation applies to all indoor public places.
