The Lenawee County Solid Waste Department sponsors recycling drop-off sites at four different locations throughout the county on Saturday mornings.
The hours of the recycling drop off are from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 NOON.

Under a contractual agreement Allied Waste Services provides the recycling services.
The following materials will be accepted:
Newspapers -- including inserts
Cardboard
Chipboard (cereal boxes)
Clear Glass
Tin
Plastics #1 & #2
Mixed papers (office papers, junk mail, phone books and magazines)
The rural recycling program provides recycling opportunities as an alternative to land filling. The use of recycled materials conserves natural resources and helps extend the life of valuable landfill space.
PREPARING YOUR RECYCLABLES
GLASS -- should be clean and empty -- remove lids -- labels can stay
NO BROKEN GLASS, window glass or non-container glass
PLASTICS #1 & # 2 -- rinse -- remove lids and rings -- crush to save space
CARDBOARD & CHIPBOARD -- remove paper / wax paper inserts -- crush to save space
NEWSPAPERS -- should be clean and dry -- do not bundle with string or ropes -- may be placed in paper grocery bags
MIXED PAPERS -- should be clean and dry -- includes office paper, junk mail, phone books and magazines
TIN / ALUMINUM -- remove all labels -- NO aerosol or paint solvent containers -- NO aluminum foil, aluminum pie tins or aluminum food trays
Please remove recycling materials from the container you transported them in before you place the materials in the recycling bins.
